From the rim of an abandoned nuclear power plant’s cooling tower to the middle of a riot in the streets, dodging fake blood and real vomit, a photographer and adventure opportunist shares a collection of true stories. Known for her photography of punk rock music, and of questionable places well off the beaten path, Cat takes you backstage and behind the scenes to share her personal interactions and experiences on the roads less traveled. Within her Vancouver BC stomping grounds and beyond, Cat details her introspection from being in places most people would avoid, all while climbing out of the self-imposed chaos and into sobriety. Her photographs from these moments complement the perspective, giving full-colour detail to the narrative. It’s a short and easy read with some names withheld and others not so much.
