《51人：塔尔维》（51 Personae: Tarwewijk）

（书籍为中、荷、英三语）In the winter of 2019, inspired by the 51 Personae project, mariëlle began actively exploring several neighborhoods surrounding Tarwewijk in southern Rotterdam, where she had just settled, through the eyes of an “outsider”. By taking detours and engaging in active observation and conversations with people of all ages in the community, she rediscovered this area, which is often perceived as chaotic and impoverished. During her walks, she came to understand the impact of government public policies on the community, the emergence and obscuring of history, gentrification, and the efforts and struggles of ordinary people. Her walks concluded with the outbreak of Covid-19, but they initiated a new relationship with the streets and neighborhoods where she lives.
