COLLECTION NEW MEDIA

The Centre Pompidou owns more than one thousand video and sound tapes and 85 multimedia installations, reflecting some forty years of contemporary creation at the intersection of different disciplines.
This work presents all the multimedia works acquired by the museum, analysed by internationally known writers. Three critical texts by François Michaud, Françoise Parfait and Christine van Aasche take different approaches to these new media - those of museum curation, aesthetic tendencies and political economy.
